Hydrogen in Aragon
The Foundation for the development of new hydrogen technologies in Aragon is a private non-profit entity, created to promote the use of hydrogen as an energy carrier.
Promoted by the Government of Aragon, it was founded in 2003 with the support of the administration, industry and the main actors of the company that form different sectors of activity.
Twenty-eight entities, research centers and companies support the launch of this initiative, which is acquiring new support year after year, which today has become a board of 70 members of fundamental importance for the Aragonese economy. With the support of council members, the Foundation works day by day to develop new hydrogen technologies integrated with renewable energies and to promote the involvement of Aragon in economic activities related to the use of hydrogen as an energy carrier.
The Foundation’s mission is to realize the organization, management and execution of a wide range of actions with the aim of generating, storing and transporting hydrogen, for its use in fuel cells, in transport applications or for distributed energy generation. In this way it aims to foster research, technological development, cogeneration and industrial adaptation, contributing to industrial modernization and improving competitiveness.
